studios
The Craft Center has a number of studios that can be used to hone your skills, finish a project or just have fun. Each studio is stocked with most of the tools and equipment you will need. Studios are available for use whenever workshops are not in session [you may download studio closed schedules from the workshop main page]. Participants are required to have basic skills and knowledge for their given area, assume all risks, and have a willingness to work with others in a safe and cooperative manner. The Craft Center is an educational facility. Studio use is intended for personal projects, not for the production of articles for personal or professional profit. Craft Center Age PolicyThe Craft Center is funded through the University of Oregon student fees. Facilities are available to individuals college age and above. Children are not permitted during open studio hours. With Craft Center and instructor permission, individuals younger than college age may be enrolled in a Craft Center workshop [in many cases, the individual must be enrolling in the workshop with a parent or guardian]. To enroll in a workshop with an individual younger than college age, please contact the Craft Center for the appropriate permission.Thank you.glass studiosGlass work is certainly not for everyone. It can be hot, it can be physically demanding, and not without the risks of burns or cuts. Anyone capable of safely and properly working in the glass studio [as deemed by craft center staff] can rent/use the glass studios. The Craft Center maintains a strict policy against the making of drug paraphernalia.
Participants must have a current studio pass to use studios, with the exception of one hot glass assistant [not the gaffer] in the Glass studios.
