Develop multiple samples while learning basic hand embroidery techniques without the aid of a plan or drawing. Improvisational embroidery allows participants to freely experiment with multiple stitching techniques while also considering color, texture, and pattern.

Indigo is one of the oldest fabric dyes, dating back at least 6,000 years. Modern techniques have turned this traditionally labor-intensive process into a quick, fun, and beautiful activity. Explore a few fabric dyeing techniques and enjoy the magical reveal that occurs as the dye oxidizes in air. No experience required. Additional materials available for purchase.

Inventive approaches of using stitching, binding, marking, and knotting on those materials will be the focus.
