Shibori is the Japanese art of fabric resist dyeing. Students will learn Arashi Shibori, a pole wrapping and compression technique in this class. Variances in fabric direction and compression combine to create a distinctive storm-like pattern.

Learn how to dye yarn and wool with food coloring and Kool Aid. You'll learn how to dye a skein a solid color, variegated coloring and stripes. Students may bring light colored, 100% wool skeins of yarn or finished knitted or crocheted projects that were made from wool. This type of dyeing cannot be done on cotton or acrylic.
