Drawing with colored pencils is a fun and versatile medium. Come learn how to achieve beautiful results by applying some fundamental techniques. You will learn how to mix colors, layer colors, and to use underpainting to achieve dimensionality. You will learn about color relationships, while practicing your drawing skills. The skills from this class can be applied to many different types of drawing including botanical illustration.

Paint with this beautiful transparent medium and learn how to make it work for you. This class teaches you techniques that will let you explore and expand the ways you can express yourself. You will experience many different ways to use watercolors including wet into wet, glazing, masking, and layering with washes. Come and explore! No experience necessary.

Learn some of the basic building strokes of Chinese brushpainting in this introductory workshop. Learn to use brush, ink, watercolors, and authentic Chinese painting styles to paint bamboo, birds, flowers, fish, landscapes, and trees.

Self-Realization through the Self-Portrait. In this class students will examine themselves through drawing and painting a self-portrait. We will explore color, light and shade, and negative space as ways to create mood and self-expression. This will be a challenging and fun class. We will also examine how past Masters used self-portraiture to reflect and express themselves. Fee includes some materials.
