Studio Pass

Craft Center Studio Pass

What is a Studio Pass?
A Studio Pass grants UO faculty/staff or community members access to the Craft Center’s studios, allowing them to work on their own projects during open studio hours. This pass is perfect for anyone who has completed the necessary orientations and training and is ready to use our tools and equipment independently.

Who Can Get a Studio Pass?
Studio Passes are available to current UO faculty/staff and community members who have completed the required studio orientations. Current fee-paying UO Students do not need to purchase a Studio Pass.

What’s Included with a Studio Pass?
A Studio Pass includes access to our studios during open studio hours and use of the basic tools and equipment available in each studio.

How Do I Get a Studio Pass?
To obtain a Studio Pass, follow these steps:

Step One: Have an Account on MyEMU - UO staff/faculty can log into myemu.uoregon.edu with their Duck ID. Community Members must first obtain a Community ID Card, and then create an account. For information on how to get a Community ID Card, please visit https://emu.uoregon.edu/card. Make sure to sign the safety waiver!

Step Two: Complete the Required Orientation - Each studio has an orientation session that covers safety, equipment use, and studio policies. You can sign up for these orientations by visiting myemu.uoregon.edu. If orientations are full, you'll need to wait until more become available next term or take a workshop that qualifies as an orientation.

Step Three: Purchase Your Pass - The Craft Center offers two options for Studio Passes: A Day Pass and a Term Pass.

A Day Pass can be purchased at our Front Desk. Studios are available on a first-come, first-served basis, unless closed for a workshop or event. A visit is a period of 4-consecutive hours per day in a single studio. You cannot move from studio to studio on the same Day Pass. A Day Pass is non-refundable.

Day Pass (Community Members): $20.00 per pass.
Day Pass (UO Faculty/Staff): $15.00 per pass.

A Term Pass can be purchased online or at our Front Desk. They are sold through Week 10 of each term. They apply only to the current term. The Term Pass is good for unlimited visited (limited to 4-consecutive hours per day) to Craft Center studios during open studio time. Term Passes are not transferrable or giftable, and cannot be carried over to a new term. A Term Pass is non-refundable.

Term Pass (Community Members): $150.00 per term.
Term Pass (UO Faculty/Staff): $120.00 per term.

Step Four: Start Crafting - Once you’ve completed the orientation and purchased your Studio Pass, you can use the studio during open hours.  Studio Access and Hours Studio Pass holders have access to our studios during specified open studio hours. Check our current schedule on the website or at the front desk for availability.
