Manual camera operation, film exposure and development, and basic printing techniques will all be covered. Paper-cutting was and is mostly used as a decoration, or an aesthetic way to express people’s hopes, gratitude and other emotions. Join us to learn the basics of this ancient art form. In this tongs-on workshop, you will learn how to interact with fire to achieve stunning glaze colors only possible with Raku firing. Raku glazes range from unique iridescent metallic to ancient-seeming white or golden crackle effects. During the first session you will learn about the properties and techniques of raku glazing.
